Academics

Eastside remains the number two high school in the district in terms of standardized tests, with a 1527 SAT score in 2011. This average is well above the national average. Eastside remains a top school in the Upstate as all teachers provide cognitively significant pedagogy in each class every day.

In 2010 Eastside students achieved the school's highest score on the ACT of 22.8. This score was above the national average of 21.0. Additionally, Eastside High consistently has the highest percentage of students taking AP tests in Greenville County --with a 68% overall pass rate.

Athletics

Eastside High School's teams have won 29 state championships. The boys soccer team won the 2011 state 3A championship. The wrestling team has dominated 3A in the last decade, winning eight state championships-- a program built by Mr. Ed Coles. [2]
